School Curriculum
Dr. Cohen has educated young people on the health effects of everyday chemicals for years—visiting classrooms, hosting community lectures, and connecting virtually when distance required it. The Smart Human curriculum helps middle and high school learners uncover what’s inside their products, food, water, and environment.
The 7th and 8th graders at Fredericksburg Academy in Virginia welcomed Dr. Cohen to their morning assembly for a 45-minute discussion about personal care products and make-up. She has guided students through real-life examples of how ingredients impact hormone health, asthma, skin irritation, and long-term wellbeing.
A pilot project with Princeton High School and Freehold High School revealed overwhelming interest in integrating environmental health information into existing curricula. Today, The Smart Human is fundraising to bring this essential education into biology and human health courses across New Jersey public schools—and beyond.
Let our team craft environmental health curriculum that’s tailored to your district, independent school, camp, or club. Students leave empowered to read labels critically, advocate for healthier spaces, and make informed choices every day.
